Tom Watson

Starred for the Stanford University golf team 1968-71 and then turned pro. Won 34 times on the PGA tour, including the 1981 Masters and the 1982 U.S. Open at Pebble Beach. He was 6 times PGA Player of the Year. Watson's remarkable career includes 5 victories in the British Open. In 1999 at age 50 he joined the PGA senior tour and won the Bank One tournament, shooting 62 in the final round. Played on four Ryder Cup teams and was captain in 1993. Enshrined into the Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame in 2001.
