Rosenbaum Sports Writing Scholarship Information
The Art Rosenbaum Sports Writing Scholarship contest
is open to Bay Area high school juniors and seniors who have written
sports-related articles in their high school publication. Entries
will be judged on overall journalistic quality by a panel of veteran
sportswriters. Students should contact their college advisor or
journalism teacher about entering the contest. Each high school
may nominate two students for the contest (send only one article
per student).
Schools should send:
- A letter from the students' academic advisor, teacher or
newspaper advisor on school letterhead which includes the
following:
- School contact's phone number, address and e-mail address
- Student's phone number, address and e-mail address
- Name of article for the contest
- An original or photocopy of the submitted article as published
in the student paper with byline, publication date and paper's
name. Highlight the article's title if more than one story
appears on the page. Articles must have been published between
April 15, 2007 and April 15, 2008. All entries are due by
April 15, 2008. Three scholarships will be awarded at a San Francisco
Giants game:
