Peggy Fleming Jenkins

Born in San Jose. In 1964, at age 15, she won the first of five U.S. Figure Skating titles. She was 18 in 1968 when she won the U.S. title at the Berkeley Ice Rink. Winner of three figure skating world championships in 1966, 67 and 68. She was the only U.S. gold medal winner in the 1968 Winter Olympics at Grenoble. Enshrined in the Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame in 1992.
