Dominic DiMaggio

 

Born in San Francisco where he played at Galileo High School. Signed by the Seals in 1937. Joined the Boston Red Sox in 1940 where he played 11 seasons interrupted by three years of military service. Outstanding outfielder with great arm. Lifetime BA .298. Enshrined in the Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame in 1992.
