Dolph Camilli

Born in San Francisco. Left-handed first baseman with Cubs, Phils, Dodgers, Red Sox. 12 major league seasons: 1933-45. Had more than 20 home runs in 8 consecutive seasons, 5 times drove in more than 100 runs. Called the "Foundation of Dodger Dynasty." In 1941 with Dodgers was NL’s MVP with 34 HRs, 120 RBI. Lifetime BA .277. In Dodger Hall of Fame. Enshrined in the Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame in 1993.
