How to gift to BASHOF?
Was there a school or an after-school program that allowed you to
develop your social skills and provide you with a safe haven? There
are many ways to give - and make a real difference in the life of
a developing youth.
Youth Fund Endowment
Consider being an annual giver and help your community provide the
necessary educational and developmental programs our future leaders
need to succeed.
Yearly Youth Fund Grants
Your donation will be distributed this year for those requests we
have already received.
Matching Grants
Have your company match your gift. You may be able to double or
triple your gift by including a matching-gift form from your human-resource
department along with your contribution.
Stock Gifts
Save on capital-gains taxes, and make your contribution with mutual-fund
or stock shares instead of cash. If you have appreciated securities
worth more than you paid for them, you gain a charitable deduction
for the full fair market value of the shares and avoid capital-gains
tax. It is simple to do; just give us a call for instructions.
Bequests
Remember The Youth Fund in your will or estate plan, and leave a
legacy of education and development to future generations. Request
information on making gifts of life insurance, retirement-plan benefits,
stock, property, cash or through a charitable trust.
Scholarships
Consider making a contribution to the Art Rosenbaum Sports Writing
Scholarship or the Beau Venturi Memorial. These scholarships honor
local high-school students for their writing achievements and their
golf success.
Memorial Funds
The families of two well-known businessmen and sportsmen, Andy Regalia
and Al Selix, established memorials in their honor. You are invited
to create a separate fund or add to these two. Each year, the families
designate a Youth Fund grantee as a recipient.
Have questions on how to give? Call 415-296-5607. Direct contributions to "Fund Name", BASHOF, 1 California Street, Suite 2630, San Francisco, CA 94111.
The Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame is a certified sec. 501(c)(3)
charitable organization. Contributions to any of these funds are
fully tax-deductible.
