2002 Rosenbaum Sports Writing Scholarship Presentation

Scholarship Winners: Kelly Gilbert, Vincent Martorano, Kyle Bonagura, Eric Mao and Evan Wang

Winners of the Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame 10th Annual Art Rosenbaum High School Sports Writing Scholarship received their awards from Art Rosenbaum's grand daughter, Cindy Viola, in an on-field ceremony before the San Francisco Giants - Los Angeles Dodgers baseball game Saturday afternoon, July 27, at Pacific Bell Park, San Francisco.

Kelly Gilbert of Monta Vista High School, Cupertino won the $2500 first prize. Second place winners Kyle Bonagura and Vincent Martorano of California High School, San Ramon, will share $1500. Third place winners, Eric Mao & Evan Wong of Lynbrook High School, San Jose, will share $1,000.

Cindy Viola presented the winners their awards behind home plate at Pac Bell Park.
