John Elway

 

Stanford All-American quarterback 1979-1982. Then with the Denver Broncos he created unmatched NFL records, 148 wins, passed more than 3,000 yards and rushed more than 200 yards in the same season seven straight years. Also 36 career 300-plus yards passing games, five Super Bowls, MVP in 1999 Super Bowl, nine Pro Bowls, NFL MVP in 1987 and AFC Player of the Year in 1993. Inducted into the Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame in 2003.
